When The Wife Is Away.........
The Husband Will...WORK!!!
My husband is THE BEST!! There is NOTHING that he can't do!! While I was away on my road trip with the kids he was busy. Between work and school, he found time to do these projects while I was gone:
He built an entertainment center.
Here is the space before:

He also put hardware on our kitchen Cabinets.
Here they are before:
He also built some shelves in the coat/linen closet. They look like they were built in with the house!!

He also started to insulate and drywall the garage. Those before and after pictures will come when he is finished. David can learn to do anything that he puts his mind to. Sorry ladies..he's all mine!!!

We Have 1/2 A Yard
They put in the sprinkler system in the front as well as the rock and a couple trees. We had to get 3 angles so that you can see it all. We will get another picture of the inside b/c they have painted the inside and they have our counters hung and are tiling the bathrooms. We should close on the house in about 6 weeks, give or take.

The Color of Our Home Is...
Mesquite Canyon Red
They painted the house, well most of it anyway. They still need to paint the front post, back post, the door and the shutters. We will update the paint job as soon as they get it finished. We can't wait!!

First Walk Through
We had our first walk-through this morning. It was real neat to see the inner workings of our home. Tomorrow they have inspections scheduled, and if everything goes well then they will start to insulate and drywall next week. Our construction manager told us that it would be about 8-10 weeks for delivery from the time they drywall if everything goes smoothly. We get more excited every day. Here are just a few of the 100+ pictures that we took:
This is the view into the house from the garage:

Houston...We Have A Driveway!
Yep, we now have a driveway and a back patio.
We do our pre-drywall walk through tomorrow, and then it's on to Phase II.
In case you didn't notice it before, they also put a sign in the window
that says "Under Contract".

Roof Is Done
It doesn't look like they have done much other than that.I think
they are pretty much done with the outside other than painting the house.
We have our first walk through this week, then they should start on the inside.

Shingles Are Going UP
They got the roof 1/2 shingled.
Unfortunately it's the side you can't see. I know what you're all thinking...why didn't we take a picture of the back side. Well we could have, but then all our pictures wouldn't be the same. And those who know me know that I just can't have that.
