Spring Painting

Last month Isaac was off school for a week for Spring break and as usual me and the kids took off to go see Nana. While we were gone David got busy like he usually does and painted the kids' bedrooms.

Each room has two solid colors that will be separated by chair railing. They will also both have crown molding shortly.

They each have their own themes. Briana is girly so hers matches her bedroom decor and Isaac's is of things he is into.

As to be expected both rooms started out with white walls, so we felt there was no need for before pictures.

I also posted some pictures of the main bathroom and our master bedroom, which have been painted for a while, but we hadn't posted pictures of.

David is amazing, he truly has a gift. He does such a great job!!

Isaac's Room

Since Isaac is really into tornadoes and planes of any sort, David figured that he would include both in Isaac's room. He painted a tornado, complete with people and things getting sucked into it. He also painted a Gulfstream G650, Isaac's favorite airplane, as well as 2 fighter jets flying over the Rockie Mountains. He did a great job! Isaac was excited when he saw his room.

Briana's Room

A room fit for a girly girl.

David painted all the butterflies, as well as the flowers(they match the ones on her bedding). You can't tell from the pictures, but there are also clouds on the walls. And she has glow in the dark stars all over her ceiling.

Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is painted!! And before the kids rooms were!! We decided on what we wanted, and David worked his magic! The chair railing and crown molding complete the look. It make look a little crazy to some of you, but we love it!

Main Bathroom (Kids Bathroom)

We finally got rid of Winnie the Pooh! we wanted to keep a theme, but with having both genders we weren't sure what we wanted to do...but then we found this shower curtain that I just love from Anthropology. I matched the towels, and David did the painting. Wow!

The Pad That David Built

After much deliberation as to what it should be, David decided that the proper thing to put beneath the future playhouse was a wood deck/pad. It turned out great!

He painted it with outdoor porch paint instead of staining it so that it would be less upkeep (no annual re-staining) and no slivers for the kids. He did an AMAZING job, as always!!

The House That David Built

After 4 months of rain and weather delays David is proud to announce that our Isaac and Briana now have a house all their own in the backyard!!!

It has a a cute front door, a little bar with 2 stools, A little garden box, and a cover porch with a pull-out storage box. Thank you Sam's Club!!

(And thanks to Alisa and Gary for letting us use your Sam's membership to buy it!)
